CISRS Operative Training Scheme (COTS)

CISRS Operative Training Scheme (COTS) is aimed at a training program that equips scaffolds with the necessary knowledge and skills to carry out safe and effective scaffolding work. The scheme is designed for both new and experienced scaffolds and it is mandatory for those who wish to work in the UK construction industry. The CISRS training operative scheme teaches the fundamentals of the field as well as safe scaffolding and access equipment use.Operatives who wish to apply for the CISRS Scaffolding Labourer Card must successfully complete and pass the COTS scaffolding Labourer course within 2 years to apply. They must also have passed a CSCS Health, Safety and Environment touch screen test within two years, unless they have an accepted exemption.Those who apply for CISRS Trainee Cards must finish CISRS Part 1 within 18 months of receiving their cards. New scaffolds should take this one-day course.In order to renew their cards every five years, current CISRS Scaffolding Labourer (green) Card holders must also enroll in this CISRS cots course.

We will submit an application on your behalf for the CISRS Scaffolder Trainee or CISRS Scaffold Labourer Card once the course has been successfully completed. Upon completion of the CISRS COTS course, scaffolders will receive a CISRS certificate, which is recognized by the UK construction industry. How Will You Get CISRS Operative Training Scheme (COTS) ?

For getting CISRS Operative Training Scheme (COTS) course, you must meet certain requirements and complete the necessary assessment which are mention below:

•  Delegates must have completed a CITB Health and Safety Environment course,within 24 months before attending for CISRS (COTS) course.Additionally, for this course you must have solid command of both written and spoken English. •  Anyone seeking to apply for their first time CISRS Scaffolding Laborers or CISRS Trainee Scaffolder card must complete this course and also complete CITB Health, Safety & Environmental touch screen test.
•  At the end of this one-day training course, delegates will be expected to pass a multiple-choice exam in order to gain CISRS Certificate of Training.
•  One-day course is for those operatives who are new to scaffholding.For existing operatives, CISRS Scaffolding Laborers (green) Card holders must also enroll in this course in order to renew their cards every five years.

Note:To attend this course, you must have passed one of the COTS scaffolding within the last 2 years.
