CISRS Operative Training Scheme (COTS) is aimed at a training program that equips scaffolds with the necessary knowledge and skills to carry out safe and effective scaffolding work. The scheme is designed for both new and experienced scaffolds and it is mandatory for those who wish to work in the UK construction industry. The CISRS training operative scheme teaches the fundamentals of the field as well as safe scaffolding and access equipment use.Operatives who wish to apply for the CISRS Scaffolding Labourer Card must successfully complete and pass the COTS scaffolding Labourer course within 2 years to apply. They must also have passed a CSCS Health, Safety and Environment touch screen test within two years, unless they have an accepted exemption.Those who apply for CISRS Trainee Cards must finish CISRS Part 1 within 18 months of receiving their cards. New scaffolds should take this one-day course.In order to renew their cards every five years, current CISRS Scaffolding Labourer (green) Card holders must also enroll in this CISRS cots course.
We will submit an application on your behalf for the CISRS Scaffolder Trainee or CISRS Scaffold Labourer Card once the course has been successfully completed. Upon completion of the CISRS COTS course, scaffolders will receive a CISRS certificate, which is recognized by the UK construction industry.
